How matching works
EditexSoft links your own stock card to a channel listing through a key. The key is either the barcode or the SKU.
Barcodes must be unique
Using the same barcode on more than one product causes stock to be deducted from the wrong item. Verify barcode uniqueness before uploading.
Automatic matching
- 1Open the Products > Matching screen.
- 2Choose Barcode or SKU as the key field.
- 3Press Match automatically.
- 4Unmatched records are listed under the Pending tab.
- 5Find pending records with the search box and match them manually.
Products with variants
For variants such as colour and size, each variant is matched as its own row.
- Each variant must have its own SKU and barcode.
- On the channel side variants belong to the same product group.
- Deleting the parent product removes all variant matches.
